Sarah and Rob’s wedding took place at the Old Lodge Hotel in Malton, Yorkshire. On this occasion I was asked to help out as a second shooter for Steven Taylor. Steven has been in the business over 30 years and although seconding shooting is not something I would usually do, I jumped at the chance to work with him.
Sarah and Rob were every photographers dream to work with. They were very relaxed in front of the camera and they also pretty much let us get on with documenting their day without endless lists of must have shots. I find that if couples allow me this freedom then they truly get the best out of me as I can spend my time looking for interesting and natural pictures.
Rain was forecast for the day, which didn’t phase myself or the happy couple as we both agreed that it would be lovely to capture some atmospheric rainy shots. However it did hold off, well until the evening at least, but by then it didn’t matter as everyone was inside having a great time.
